The Children and Adults Scrutiny Committee is
established to carry out the overview and scrutiny role in relation
to matters concerning children’s services and safeguarding,
adult health and social care, commissioning and education. The
Committee will offer
constructive review, feedback and challenge to the Council’s
Executive and other relevant local decision makers on their
decisions, actions, policy, strategy and
performance. The Committee is
made up of 8 non-executive councillors appointed to reflect the
political balance of the Council.
