This decision could not be included on a 28-Day Notice because the notification of the final value of the Household Support Fund grant and the ways in which it should be spent is only released by the Department for Work and Pensions just before the start of the grant period. Due to the short timescales involved, the required approval to accept the grant must be in place as soon as possible to allow the Council to distribute the funding quickly to citizens in need.
