The meeting is urgent and the business cannot be deferred because the programme has reached a critical point and a decision on the implementation date is required in order to finalise the implementation plan and ensure that the planned date can be achieved. Failure to make a swift decision could result in an inability to meet the revised date with associated failure to achieve benefits and would incur further costs. In addition, without approval for the spend we are unable to retain critical resources, whose contracts are due for renewal imminently, that are essential to meet the implementation date.
