Decision status: For Determination

Notice of proposed decision first published: 14/04/2020

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
The decison is urgent and the business cannot be deferred because as a result of the current Covid 19 outbreak, supplies of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are urgently needed for the delivery of social care services for adults and children, including both internal NCC in house services and possibly externally commissioned providers and Blue Light services across the LRF footpirnt. Purchasing of PPE needs to be made instantly when stocks are found to be available due to the current high demand nationally and internationally. Therefore approval is required urgently to enable purchases to be made as soon as supplies are identified, subject to relevant minimum checks on suppliers.
