This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
The item could not be given 28 Days' Notice because there is a time critical need to secure the extension of existing contracts for a number of interim finance professionals who are filling vacancies across the finance team and providing critical additional capacity to deliver the finance improvements that are required of the Council by the IAB. It is essential that we secure as many of the existing interims as possible given that continuity of their input is fundamental to increasing and maintaining pace of the work that is taking place. Given that most of their contracts end on 31 March, they require surety of the Council’s position by extending the contracts at the earliest opportunity
