Regulatory and Appeals Committee

Purpose of committee

The Regulatory and Appeals Committee is established to deal with applications for local licences and registrations; determine plans and strategy relating the Committee’s licensing and registration functions; administer the Council’s non-executive functions in relation to Health and Safety at Work and Smoke-free premises; and to hear appeals.  The Committee is made up of 14 councillors appointed to reflect the political balance of the Council.
