Kirsty grew up in a village in West Oxfordshire and moved to Nottingham in 2010 to study at the University of Nottingham.
After graduating with a Masters, she worked for nearly five years as a paediatric nurse, mostly on the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre. She then changed career and worked at Nottingham City Council Housing Aid for nearly four years. She currently works as a part-time administrator at the Dryden Enterprise Centre, Nottingham Trent University.
She has been active in workplace and community unions and campaigned on many issues, particularly in relation to the environment.
Kirsty lives with her partner and cat in St. Ann’s, Nottingham. She has many interests outside of politics, including going on walks in Nottingham’s great parks (especially with her cat!), reading, enjoying Nottingham’s pubs and trying to make her garden wildlife-friendly.
